Publisher Description

The Mormon History Association ( is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to all aspects of the scholarly study of the Mormon past. Formed in 1965, it strives to be the preeminent catalyst and forum worldwide for encouraging the research and study of Mormon history. It pursues its mission by sponsoring annual conferences; providing opportunities for like-minded individuals to discuss and share the broad range of Mormon historical studies; and awarding book, article, and other prizes. Its official periodical, the Journal of Mormon History, fosters the publication of independent, scholarly research. Membership in the Association is open to all.
