UCL is London's research and teaching powerhouse, with an impressive track record of achievement in addressing the world's problems through the application of its expertise, spanning the sciences, arts, humanities, social sciences and biomedicine. UCL Library Services is committed to supporting the excellence of teaching, learning, research and clinical practice by providing a high quality, integrated and innovative service. It is housed on 17 sites, contains nearly two million bound volumes and pamphlets, 2410 metres of archives and manuscripts and receives over 9000 current journals. Electronic resources include over 190 databases, and almost 10,000 electronic journals subscriptions and services. Its Special Collections comprise one of the foremost university collections of manuscripts, archives and rare books in the UK.
