Since 1963, the James Joyce Quarterly has been the international flagship journal of Joyce studies. Appearing four times a year, JJQ brings together a wide array of critical and theoretical work focusing on the life, writing, and reception of James Joyce. It encourages submissions of all types, welcoming critical, bibliographical, archival, historical, theoretical, and biographical research. Regular and occasional special issues provide a diverse selection of peer-reviewed essays representing the very best in contemporary Joyce scholarship. In addition, the journal publishes notes, reviews, letters, a comprehensive checklist of recent Joyce-related publications, and the editor's "Raising the Wind." Our goal is simple: to provide an open, lively, and multidisciplinary forum for the international community of Joyce scholars, students, and enthusiasts.
The James Joyce Quarterly, along with its sister journal, Tulsa Studies in Women's Literature, is published by the University of Tulsa, a private university founded in 1894.
